Gainesville, FL (Wednesday June 7, 2017) – Today, Indivisible Gainesville announces they will join the Gainesville Area Equality March on Sunday, June 11. The event is hosted by the Pride Community Center and other community groups. The march and rally coincides with the National Pride March and marks the one year anniversary of the tragedy at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, which will always be remembered as the deadliest incident of violence against the LGBTQIA community in United States history.

Indivisible Gainesville stands in solidarity with the LGBTQIA community and invites everyone interested in marching to meet at 1:30 PM at Depot Park to march alongside other community groups in the Gainesville Area Equality March for Unity and Pride. The procession will begin at 2 PM and proceed up South Main Street to Bo Diddley Plaza, followed by a rally at 2:30 PM. The march will begin with a moment of reflection for transgender victims of violence and the victims of the Pulse Nightclub Shooting.
