STATE

This week is a Legislative Committee Week where bills will be crafted and discussed. One would presume that a topic of discussion will be the budget Governor DeSantis released last week. Here is the schedule for the House and the Senate’s committee meeting. By the way, the various committees can be found here.

FEDERAL

The next shutdown is looming. The first week of negotiations to prevent it did not go so well.

If the talks are unproductive, Trump has promised to declare a (fake) national emergency. Indivisible National breaks down what this means and what should be done here.

The upshot is this: “The most important thing that you can do is to make sure that your three MoCs continue to hear the message that Trump’s demands are unacceptable.”
