We are heading into the final stretch of the 2019 Florida legislative session, and it promises to be a dizzying two weeks, as many controversial bills are winding their way through their committee assignments, including restrictions on restoring voting rights for those with felony convictions, arming teachers, outlawing so-called Sanctuary Cities, building unnecessary highways, not to mention the one bill that the legislature is required to pass, the annual budget.

And there are so many bills that we haven’t mentioned. Please check out our Facebook page for any Calls to Action that may come up this week. And keep informed by visiting the following sites:

Congress’ recess continues this week. Surely they are all digesting the redacted Mueller Report, which you can read here.

Indivisible has concluded the following: “The Mueller report confirms what we’ve always known: Trump abused his authority, violated the law, and tried repeatedly to obstruct justice. These are impeachable offenses. With control of the House, Democrats should use their investigatory power to begin investigations into whether Donald Trump has committed crimes that would justify his impeachment. Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s resolution is a good step forward.” Click here for more, and how you can get involved.

Have a great week!
