As some of you know, the Governor has vetoed over $100 million of programs in the budgets of Florida’s public universities. This includes a $20 million cut to UF’s programs, of which $6 million is directly from IFAS. These cuts include funding to programs, students, faculty, and staff. Read more

Rep. Ted Yoho lied to his constituents

Our very own member of Indivisible Gainesville, Sara Walters, has a terrific blog, and she has written a great piece that we’d like to share with you called “Rep. Ted Yoho Lied to his Constituents” which points out Yoho’s obvious untruthful tactics in order to get good press coverage. It’s an important read, and we support her willingness to share her thoughts. We encourage you to follow her blog – we certainly intend to!

Consenting silence

President Trump divulged information to an adversary, Russia. This was intelligence that was intended to be shared only between our closest allies. Trump admitted the action, one that will make those allies less inclined to share highly sensitive material with us going forward and has severely jeopardized ongoing intelligence operations.
